Polish team ready to fight for the best places in World Cup

A meeting of Polish and foreign media representatives with Polish national ski jumping team was held one day before the qualifications for the individual competition in Wisla-Malinka. Even a group of Japanese journalist came to Golebiewski Hotel – their goal was to interview Polish two-gold-medalist from Sochi – Kamil Stoch.

Olympic season starts this weekend at Adam-Malysz-hill in Wisla-Malinka. For the first time in history season opening will take place in Poland. – I think that we deserve for this inauguration. All the competitions held in Poland are always beautiful and we have the best fans. I’m happy that we got the chance to held such an event. The organizers did a great job, the hill is perfectly  prepared – said one of Polish athletes, Stefan Hula. – I am so glad that this season’s inauguration will take place in Wisla-Malinka and I want to congratulate the organizers that they managed to prepare excellently the ski jump – added Kamil Stoch.

Most of Polish fans count on him this weekend. What does he expect from his performance? – The beginning of season is always tough because there are always a lot of emotions in those first jumps. It’s also quite uncertain, we don’t know how other athletes jump and if we’re in a good shape or not. What is more we need to feel the season again. But there are also a lot of positive emotions before the inauguration: I’m so happy and excited that the season starts – he said – I try to be calm and optimistic, but also to keep a small distance, before these first events. I am satisfied of my last jumps that I did on training, so all I will try to do is just doing the same. At the moment I will try to do the best jumps I can – added Kamil Stoch.

All Polish team, as well as every athletes, has its own goal for the upcoming winter season. – I hope that I will stay in such a good shape as recently and that my jumps will remain stable and good everybody want to compete in the Olympic Games and to show its best, so do I. This is my goal but we will see what’s going to happen. I have to do all my best and to keep working – said  Stefan Hula. – I don’t have any particular goal for the upcoming winter season. I want to focus on myself, do all my best and jump as good and far as possible – added Jakub Wolny.
