Just after the qualifications the best athletes participated in bib distribution ceremony. A lot of fans, who didn’t manage to buy tickets for the competition, came to the fan zone to cheer them up. Top11 ski jumpers were distributed with their bibs there. Among them there were the qualification winner Stefan Kraft and 5 German ski jumpers: Andreas Wellinger, Stephan Leyhe, Rihard Freitag, Karl Geiger and Markus Eisenbichler. What’s more the third in Friday’s event was Junshiro Kobayashi. Also three Polish athletes were in top11 – Kamil Stoch, Stefan Hula and Maciej Kot. Last but not least, also Robert Johansson was there, he ended the qualification at 10th place ex aequo with Markus Eisenbichler. Athletes were cheered up not only by Polish fans, but also by the president of Wisla – Tomasz Bujok and by the president of PZN – Apoloniusz Tajner. – Today we started the World Cup. The event in Wisła is possible only because a lot of people have worked day and night to prepare it. Those people had suffered a lot of troubles and nerves to make the competition as good as it is – said Tomasz Bujok to the people in the fan zone. Apoloniusz Tajner was so contented that the season opening is organized in Wisla this year – The best athletes in the world have come to Poland again and they compete so early this year. Who have thought than we can organize a competition in mid-November? After the bib distribution all the fans could listen to the folklore music.
Team competition starts at Saturday at 4pm whereas the individual one at Sunday, 3pm.
