Only 31 days left for the ski jumping season 2018/2019 World Cup inauguration. For the second time in history it will take place at Adam Małysz hill in Wisła Malinka. The snow production has started at the beginning of October. The organizers assure that all the preparations go well and the end of snow-making actions is planned for the end of this month. Thanks to the well-developed technology of a snow-making company Supersnow, the sunny weather in Wisła is not a danger for the snow production.

The Organising Committee of FIS World Cup Wisła 2018 had a meeting at Adam Małysz hill last week. – Together with all important people working on the competition, we met on Wednesday to talk about the preparation for the season inauguration event. We need also to focus on what is still needed to do before November. I can say that we are on a good way and everything goes well – assures Andrzej Wąsowicz, the President of the Organising Committee FIS World Cup Wisła 2018 – We plan to finish the snow-making on the 25th/26th of October. For that moment we have more than half of snow produced. We are happy that this year the weather is good and there is no rain, because the rain is the worst for the snow. The weather has been sunny for couple of days in Wisła, so that we cover the produced snow.

Just before the inauguration the hill we be tested by Polish ski jumpers. –  I still held that opinion that the hill be ready as soon as possible and we will do best we can to prepare it. We will try do it so that our ski jumpers can train in Wisła before the inauguration – says Andrzej Wąsowicz – We have also a lot of demands from the foreign nations. The more ski jumpers train on the hill before the competition the better for us. We would like that the ski jumpers test the facility so that its preparation will be the best as possible – he adds – We will produced a stockpile of snow, for sure, but if needed we can always produce some more snow.

All the supporters can observe the preparation of hill for the winter season inauguration thanks to our new web camera. You can find it on the PZN website, as well as on the Wisła-Malinka hill website.
